You can find many, many types of fencing available now including chain link, wood, aluminum, plastic, PVC to name just a couple. All are fences but have differing abilities to do jobs that are different. A soft plastic roll sort fence sure wouldn’t work if you’re putting a fence up to include a 150 pound pit bull. Chain link fencing comes in galvanized (grey), black and green wire colors. Plastic coated types may also be available. Chain link comes in rolls starting from 4′ to 12′ wide. Fencing is held to steel vertical posts set in concrete, with heavy gauge Fencing Stotfold wire loop links. A special tool must flex these ties. Another special tool called a “come-a-long” is needed to elongate the fencing snugly between posts before tying.

Different gauges (depth’) of wire are accessible and you get what you purchase. Thin wire kinds will have a shorter life span than heavier wire. This fencing just isn’t inexpensive to buy or install invest well for long time use.

Soft plastic roll fencing typically comes in 4′ wide rolls. Wood or steel support posts are expected for mounting the fence. This kind fencing is considered temporary use only and is seen often at construction sites and along highways. This fencing is considered disposable and cost-effective.
